Liposculpture involves meticulously removing unwanted fatty deposits, sculpting the jawline and the area beneath the chin. This results in a more pleasing jaw and neckline. In certain patients, it is possible to rejuvenate the neck with this minimally invasive treatment without the need for more extensive surgery (i.e. facelift).
Liposculpture is performed under “twilight” anesthesia in the surgical suite and requires up to 1 hour. Liposculpture typically requires a 5mm incision under the chin and behind both ear lobes. These incisions are very well hidden by natural skin creases and the ear lobe, itself.
