Excess skin and fat in the eyelids upper and lower eyelids can make the eyes appear smaller. This conveys the appearance of fatigue or advanced age. Blepharoplasty, also referred to as an “eyelid lift” or “eyelid tuck”, rejuvenates the eyes by reducing wrinkles, puffiness and drooping of the eyelid tissue. Blepharoplasty opens the eyes, improves your appearance and, in some cases, can enhance your vision.
Blepharoplasty involves removing excess tissue from the upper and/ or lower eyelids to recreate a youthful eyelid crease and remove eyelid “bags.” Blepharoplasty is often combined with browlift surgery to fully rejuvenate the eye area. Blepharoplasty is typically performed under intravenous sedation in the surgical suite at Lone Tree Facial Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Center and requires about one hour. Incisions are hidden in the natural eyelid crease and are meticulously closed with very fine, delicate sutures that do not require removal. If you have additional questions, we are always available at Lone Tree Facial Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery Center.
